Essential Oil / Herb of the Month:

Y L A N G   Y L A N G
(Cananga odorata)

Ylang ylang (pronounced ee-lang ee-lang) oil is a small flower from the Cananga, a tall tropical tree about 20 meters (60 feet) high with large, tender, fragrant pink, mauve or yellow flowers. The yellow heads are viewed as being the best in terms of quality.

Also known as flower of flowers, ylang ylang oil can assist with problems such
as high blood pressure, rapid breathing and heartbeat, nervous conditions, as well as impotence and frigidity. Spiritual practitioners claim that the users of Ylang Ylang are those who have been drawn to the oil, and who in turn, suit it.

Check out our newly re-mixed Summer Nights products with the luscious aromatic blend of Ylang Ylang, JuniperBerry, Lavender & Patchouli.

    Back to the Grind

After quite the summer, we're back in the swing of things here at All Things Jill. While we expected a bit of a slow, relaxing couple of months, we received nothing of the sort!  Business has been great, with many new products in the works.  For those of you that thought you'd been left off our mailing list... not so! We just haven't produced a newsletter for a couple of months because other things have come up.

So, what's new, you ask? Well, for starters, we now have 100% Natural Hand & Body Crème in our 5 popular scent blends and in our Baby blend (check out all the info below). All have been very well received so far. The Grapefruit + Ginger is my clear favourite - the essential oils come out of the lotion beautifully and I often find myself sniffing my hands for a quick citrus pick-me-up.

Next on the product list is our Sole Delight Foot Line.  The Foot Butter literally glides onto rough, dry patches on the feet, and the dry scrub is a divine cleansing ritual.  Having just come off a month of trade shows, I can safely say my feet were happy to have these new product on hand.

Finally, for all of our fans with tattoos, our Tat Butter is now available. Launched at the Calgary Folk Festival this summer, it was a clear favourite - selling out our stock by the second day!

As we gear up for the holiday season, stay tuned for new tealights and stocking stuffer gifts!

Happy Fall!
      Jill
