L E M O N G R A S S
(Cymbopogon flexuosus )

Lemongrass is a fast growing, tall, aromatic perennial grass that grows up to 1.5 metres in height. It is native to Asia, but is now cultivated mostly in the West Indies, Africa, and Tropical Asia.

Lemongrass is known for its invigorating and antiseptic properties. It can be used used in facial toners as it's astringent properties help fight acne and greasy skin. An excellent anti-depressant, Lemongrass tones and fortifies the nervous system and can be used in the bath for soothing muscular nerves and pain. Lemongrass shares similar properties with citronella and has a great reputation for keeping insects away.

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of visiting our little town of Okotoks, we've included an image of the Okotoks Erratic (aka: the Big Rock) at the top of the newsletter. We've settled in quite nicely to our new location and are enjoying what we hope will be the last bits of winter (although as I write this it's -20C and snowing). Thanks to all our customers for being patient with us while we've made our transition!

I'm very excited to announce a few new products this month that we've been working on for some time. Our new Thai Lemongrass scent fills our home and brings an overwhelming sense of well-being and refresh into our lives every time we use it. I do hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!

We've got new products for Moms, Babies and some great travel-size items on the site and as always, there's more in the works at our shop for the third and fourth quarters of the year.

We hope that those of you in the Toronto area will stop by and see us at the One of a Kind Spring Show & Sale from April 1 - 5 at the National Trade Centre. Our Sweet Dreams Baby Body Wash Refill Concentrate is a 500 ml bottle of liquid soap that you can dilute into your existing Sweet Dreams Baby Body Wash foamer bottle.
