Essential Oils

Essential Oils are liquids derived (most frequently by steam or water distillation) from the leaves, stems, flowers, bark, roots, or other elements of a plant. Essential oils are hence the true essence of a plant, and are highly concentrated. The chemical composition and aroma of essential oils can provide valuable psychological and physical therapeutic benefits. These benefits are usually achieved through methods including careful inhalation and application of the diluted oil to the skin. Factors that can affect the quality and price of essential oils include the rarity of the botanical, the country of origin and growing/climate conditions, quality standards of the distiller, and how much oil is produced by the botanical. Synergies are a blend of two or more essential oils, and each is created with a specific therapeutic result in mind. The advantage of synergies is that you can save from having to buy each essential oil individually.
